ISLAMABAD Pakistan: A National Security Meeting was held on Friday at the Prime Minister’s House where Pakistan’s highest civilian and military leaders assessed the current security challenges both external and internal that Pakistan is facing. Pakistan and the changing situation in the western neighbor Afghanistan.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the huddle after which The Minister of Interior Sheikh Rasheed called an open press conference to inform the media on the topics the topic of discussion.
Rasheed claimed that the gathering was attended by the Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
He also mentioned that the Director-General who was recently appointed Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum was also there.
According to the minister of interior the border management was a part of the discussion, along with all other issues that relate to the present situation in the nation.
In the morning, together alongside Rasheed and foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf as well as Defense Minister Pervez Khattak, they arrived at the PM House to attend the meeting.
